Special structure for maximum protection
BARAK 450 - protection against shooting and violent break-ins
The bulletproof shutter is built of a casing made of drawn aluminum slats 52 mm high. The aluminum slats are painted in an oven via electrostatic coating and can be ordered in any color.
While the shutter’s slats may look like those of an “ordinary” shutter, a hardened ballistic steel plate has been inserted along the length of each slat in the shutter. These plates have an indentation hardness of at least 450 on the Brinell scale, with complete overlap between the plates.
Because these steel plates are heavy, the weight of the shutter is 30 kg per sq m. (For the sake of comparison, an ordinary foamed shutter weighs 5 kg per sq m.)
The shutter is equipped with:
- A powerful electric motor manufactured by Jolly Motor, with the option of connecting to an external battery case that provides power for charging in case of power outages.
- Large shutters are equipped with a Safety Brake System, which stops the shutter automatically and prevents it from falling.
- ABL - Anti Burglary Lock – located at the top of the first slat, thus preventing attempts from the outside to release the locking mechanism. As soon as the shutter is closed, it is automatically locked.
- Side rails reinforced with steel profiles and bolts in two planes, in order to prevent them from being detached using a mallet.
BARAK 450 Protects From Types of Threat:

* Protection against direct shooting at the shutter from 0 range by 9 mm pistols, Magnum 0.357, CARLO Improvised Rifle; protection against shrapnel damage; protection against direct shooting from 250 meter range by Kalashnikov 7.62 mm rifles; protection against direct shooting from 300 meter range by M16 5.56 mm rifles.
